Face wash prices in Pakistan, per millilitre

Sorted by what you actually pay per millilitre rather than per bottle, the Pakistani face wash shelf runs from about Rs. 3 to Rs. 30. Bottle price hides this completely: a Rs. 749 wash is cheaper per use than a Rs. 349 one, because one is 250 ml and the other is 100 ml.

Prices were read on 5 September 2026, brand-direct where the brand sells direct in Pakistan and from Pakistani retailer listings otherwise. Two patterns worth taking to the shelf. Price per millilitre does not track how much the brand is willing to tell you — the cheapest row and the dearest local row both decline to state a percentage for anything. And grey-imported cleansers cost four to ten times the local rate for the same class of formula, with a single bottle varying by nearly Rs. 3,500 between Pakistani sellers on the same day.

Typical price ranges

Basic drugstore cleansers run roughly Rs. 300 to Rs. 700. Locally formulated cleansers with stated actives run Rs. 800 to Rs. 1,500. Imported brands sit at Rs. 2,000 and above, mostly because of import cost rather than a better formula.

The jump from the first tier to the second usually buys something real: a named active at a stated percentage and a milder base. The jump from the second to the third often buys import duty and brand.

Cost per wash is the number that matters

A 120 ml face wash used once daily lasts roughly three months. At Rs. 849 that is under Rs. 10 a day. Comparing sticker prices across different bottle sizes tells you almost nothing.

Volume is the detail most people skip. A cleanser at Rs. 600 for 50 ml is more expensive per wash than one at Rs. 849 for 120 ml, despite looking cheaper on the shelf. Check millilitres before comparing anything.

What actually drives the price

Active concentration, the quality of the surfactant base, packaging, testing, and whether the product is imported. Marketing spend is in there too, and it is the part that adds no benefit to your skin.

Actives themselves are rarely the expensive part. Niacinamide and glycolic acid are inexpensive ingredients. What costs money is formulating them at a stable pH in a base that does not irritate, and then testing that it holds up.

Is an expensive face wash better?

Not reliably. Above a certain point you are paying for import cost and brand rather than formula. A locally formulated cleanser with a stated active percentage will usually outperform a more expensive one that lists no numbers.

The useful signal is whether the brand tells you what is in it and how much. "Enriched with vitamin C" tells you nothing. "5% niacinamide" is a claim you can check and compare.

Why the same product has three different prices online

Marketplace listings, resellers and the brand's own site often differ substantially. A price well below everyone else usually means grey stock, an expired batch, or a counterfeit.

For a basic cleanser the risk is mostly wasted money. For anything with an active at a stated percentage, an under-dosed or degraded product simply will not do what the label says, and you will conclude the ingredient does not work for you when you never actually used it.

How to tell if the price is hiding a fake

Check for a batch number and manufacture or expiry date, a full INCI ingredient list, consistent printing on the pack, and whether the seller is the brand or an authorised stockist.

Counterfeit skincare is common enough in this market that the cheapest listing is rarely the bargain it looks like. Buying from the brand directly costs a little more and removes the question entirely.

What you can get under Rs. 1,000

Under Rs. 1,000 buys a good cleanser and not much else. Elluvi Brightening Face Wash is Rs. 849 for 120 ml with 5% glycolic acid and 5% niacinamide, and it is the only Elluvi product under that figure — the serums start at Rs. 1,149 and the moisturisers at Rs. 1,249. Across the market, a budget of Rs. 1,000 realistically covers one rinse-off product with stated actives, or a basic cleanser plus nothing.

This is worth saying plainly because a lot of people search with a price cap in mind and get shown products above it. One caveat on our own pricing: delivery is free on orders of Rs. 1,000 and above, so an Rs. 849 order on its own carries a delivery charge and the total lands a little over Rs. 1,000. If Rs. 1,000 is the ceiling for now, spend it on the cleanser rather than stretching to a serum you can only afford once, since a serum works on repeat use and a single bottle proves nothing. If the ceiling is closer to Rs. 2,000, a cleanser plus one serum is the better split, and that is the point at which a routine starts to compound.

Getting value without overspending

Spend on the products that stay on your skin, and save on the ones you rinse off. A cleanser has seconds of contact time; a serum has hours. If the budget is tight, a basic gentle cleanser plus a good serum beats an expensive cleanser plus nothing.

The one exception is if your current cleanser is actively irritating your skin. In that case replacing it is the highest-value purchase you can make, because nothing else in the routine works on a damaged barrier.
