Brand site or marketplace?
Buying from the brand's own site means the stock came from the brand. Marketplace listings can be authentic, but they can also be resold, expired or counterfeit, and the marketplace rarely verifies which.
For a basic cleanser the stakes are low. For anything with an active ingredient at a stated percentage, the source matters, because an under-dosed or degraded active will simply not do what the label says. Check whether the seller name is the brand itself.
What to check before you place the order
Volume in ml, active percentages, the full ingredient list, expiry or batch information, delivery cost and timeframe, and how to contact a human if something goes wrong. If a page hides any of these, that is information too.
Volume is the one people miss most often. A serum can look cheaper than a competitor while being 15 ml against their 30 ml, which makes it twice the price per use.
