The shaving routine that stops most complaints

Shave after a warm wash, with the grain, using a sharp blade and a lubricating gel rather than soap. Rinse cool, then apply a light moisturiser while skin is still damp, patch-testing it first if it contains fragrance. Most razor burn, ingrown hairs and shaving-related dark patches are prevented here rather than by a cream bought afterwards.
